What is queer*z?
queer*z is the advocacy commission of PolyUniQue. We know that being queer or gender-diverse at university isn’t always easy. Our goal is to make sure your needs are seen, heard, and supported at Zurich’s universities. <3
You do not have to figure this out by yourself. Take a look around—we’ve gathered some resources that might be helpful for you. Whether you are currently a student looking for support or an employee who’s not quite sure how to approach the topic of queerness: you don’t have to do this alone. Here, you’ll find information about university-specific internal resources as well as links to other organizations, in case we’re not exactly what you’re looking for.
Please reach out to us. Couldn’t find the resources you need? Do you have any questions or concerns about queer or trans* matters? Have you experienced discrimination and want support? Or do you have specific needs regarding your queerness at university and are unsure how to approach getting them met? We’re here to help you—just send us an e-mail at queerz@polyunique.ch.
Support us! Do you know of resources or links we should add? Have you noticed an outdated link? Are you interested in supporting our work or helping make our universities more queer-friendly and gender-inclusive? Reach out to us at queerz@polyunique.ch. We’d love to have you with us—together, we can make sure everyone is heard and cared for.
Join us! You have waited long enough for things to improve and you’d like to take matters in your own hands? Come to our next online meeting. See for yourself what we work on and if you’d want to contribute. Interested? Shoot us an email at queerz@polyunique.ch. We are looking forward to meeting you!
Fill out our questionnaire—we are currently looking to understand the challenges of queer people at Zurich’s universities more broadly, so make sure you fill out the questionnaire today and have your perspective represented!
